Breaking Down Silos in Product Security and Compliance

The fundamental challenge lies in the fact that many people are showing up every day. They're doing the very best they can at their jobs. And at the end of that day, they're not figuring out how their job can overlap with somebody else's job. It's a silo problem. It's not uncommon. And, frankly, it's not something that you typically see people even trying to solve. So something like the controls only approach might be something you would hire one of the big four or your local consulting firm to come in and do. And while the software centric approach might be something you go and buy a tool, you get it done for the six month release schedule of that project, and then you have to do all of that over again because it all is essentially out of date once you've moved on to the next product. I don't believe that that necessarily has to be the way we go forward.
